That said, there are a few important things to know before you hit Add to Cart 👇
Some of our fonts are decorative and designed to complement the artwork, not override it.
Before ordering, please check the product images carefully to see how the font looks.
A few things to note:
Some fonts are all uppercase, all lowercase, or mixed case
Some fonts intentionally display letters differently
(for example: an uppercase-style “A” for a lowercase “a”, or a lowercase-style “j” for an uppercase “J”)
In these cases, how you type the name may not change how it appears in print
This is part of the design style, not a mistake.
We’re always improving our designs. That means:
Older designs may be updated with improved detail, colour, layout or effects
Some designs may be retired from time to time
Not all designs are available across every product
Design selector images are for illustration purposes only. Final placement, scale and colour may vary slightly.
All SPATZ products are manually printed at SPATZ HQ.
Because of this:
Minor variations in placement or sizing can occur
Print colours may vary slightly from screen to screen
These variations are normal and part of the handmade process
It’s what makes each piece one of a kind 💛
We love creativity, but we won’t print anything that harms our brand or community.
This includes:
Licensed or copyrighted images
Harassing, threatening or defamatory text
Racist, hateful, abusive, violent or obscene content
If an order includes any of the above, it will be cancelled immediately.
Extra text (such as birth details) must suit the product and design selected.
SPATZ reserves the right to:
Modify or partially omit extra details
Omit additional information entirely if required to preserve the integrity of the artwork.
Multiple names or extra details will appear on the plate and bowl only
Mugs and cutlery will include the first name only
This is due to size and legibility limits.
If you’re uploading photos:
Recommended resolution: 200–300 DPI
Highly compressed images may appear grainy
Low DPI images can cause colour distortion (especially skin tones)
Please note:
We do not retouch, recolour, edit or adjust customer-supplied photos
Your image will print exactly as supplied
If you’re unsure about image quality, contact us before ordering.
When selecting a matching add-on:
The same design variant will be used
The same personalisation details will apply
Please note:
Some small items (like cutlery) may only include the first name
Add-on layouts may differ slightly due to size constraints
Overall theme and artwork will remain consistent
Please do not include:
Emojis
Symbols
Icons
Special characters
Most fonts do not support these glyphs. If included, they will be omitted or may prevent details from saving correctly.
🚫 Do not include item-specific instructions, text changes or clarifications in:
Gift Message fields
Delivery Message fields
These are:
Printed onto gift cards, or
Sent to delivery partners and are not visible during artwork preparation.
If something special is required and can’t be entered on the product page, contact us before ordering.
Customers are responsible for ensuring all personalisation details are correct.
You’re welcome to upload your own artwork or images.
Please ensure:
Files are under 5MB
Artwork is flattened (no layers, annotations or hidden elements)
You own the rights to the images you upload
We will not print:
Licensed or copyrighted images
Content that breaches our guidelines
