Fonts are an important part of our designs. From big bold letters
to curly little characters with minds of their own, the font,
layout and wording all work together to create the finished product.
The product pictures are your best guide.
Unless a font selector appears on the product page,
your personalised item will use the font and general
lettering style shown in the product images.
A QUICK WORD ABOUT WORDS
The font is part of the design.
Every SPATZ design is created as a complete piece.
The font, colours, illustrations, spacing and layout
are chosen to work together, so the lettering shown
on the product is generally the lettering your finished
item will use.

The font shown is the font used.
Unless a font selector is available on the individual product page,
your item will be created using the font style shown in the
product photographs or artwork previews.
We don't generally change fonts by request, because changing
the lettering can completely change the spacing and balance
of the original design.

Some letters are just built a little differently.
Decorative, handwritten and playful fonts often use letter
shapes that look quite different from the standard letters
you see on your keyboard.
These little quirks are part of the font itself and aren't
considered printing or spelling errors.

Uppercase, lowercase + everything in between.
Depending on the font used in the design, your personalised
wording may appear in uppercase, lowercase, title case or
a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters.
Some font styles may even use a lowercase first letter.
That's intentional and forms part of the style of the font.

Here's the important bit.
The way you type the name tells us the spelling, but it
doesn't always determine the letter case. Typing a name
with a capital first letter, or typing it in ALL CAPS,
does not guarantee it will print that way unless the
product specifically gives you a choice of letter case.

Website previews are a guide.
Product images and personalised previews show the general
appearance of the design, but each name and piece of wording
takes up a different amount of space.
We may make small changes to size, spacing, line breaks,
artwork placement or wording position when preparing your
finished product.

Screens + printed colours aren't identical twins.
Phone brightness, monitor settings, lighting and the material
we're printing onto can all affect the way a colour looks.
Colours on a glowing screen may therefore look slightly
different once printed onto fabric, ceramic, melamine,
paper or another physical product.
If your product includes an uploaded photograph, the final
print shape may mean we need to crop, enlarge or reposition
your image so it fits the artwork properly.
Please upload the clearest, highest-quality image you have
and try to keep important faces and details away from the
very edge of the photo.
Sometimes names need a tiny wiggle.
Especially when somebody has been blessed with seventeen
magnificent letters and our original sample name had four.
Tiny changes keep everything looking lovely.
When preparing personalised artwork, our designers may make
small adjustments to keep the finished design balanced,
clear and easy to read.

The font, letter case and general layout shown form part
of the product design. Check your personalisation carefully
before ordering and we'll take care of the tiny design
gymnastics from there.
